Review: Sleep Inn Page Arizona Hotel
Ahh, the Sleep Inn — part of the Choice Hotels chain of hotels — and a chain I don’t particularly like. In fact, I tend to avoid them because they’re usually a little too ‘rough around the edges’ for me.
But for a stay in the Northern Arizona town of Page, which is known for its popular tourist attractions, the Sleep Inn was pretty cheap — and it checked all my boxes — a gym, a free breakfast, and pretty good reviews. Plus, they had a Jacuzzi suite available for pretty cheap – only $10 more than a regular room. So I went with it. I stayed here at the Sleep Inn and Suites in Page, Arizona for three nights and I’ll give you my honest review of the Sleep Inn in Page, Arizona so you can see if this is a hotel you’d be interested in if ever in the Page, Arizona area. Let’s begin!

Sleep Inn and Suites – Page Arizona Location
Officially, this hotel is named “Sleep Inn & Suites Page at Lake Powell” giving you the impression that it is on Lake Powell. Couldn’t be further from the truth! It is NOT on Lake Powell; it’s closer to the Glen Canyon Dam, and while there is a nice overlook of the dam across the street from the hotel, there is no view of the lake. I hate when hotels do this!
That said, I did like the location of the Sleep Inn — it’s right off of US-89 and in a little pocket of similar sized hotels. There’s nothing within walking distance, except a Denny’s and maybe the Glen Canyon Dam Overlook (I’d still drive), but it’s a nice, peaceful location with plenty of free parking. If you want something to eat that isn’t Denny’s, you’ll have to drive into the tiny town of Page and find something. Good luck, too, because I found that lots of places shut down at 6:30pm – 7pm. When I visited (March), I was out for sunset photos each night. Sunset was around 6:20, so when I was finished, it was really tough finding somewhere to eat, that I ended up just hitting up Safeway.

Rooms at the Sleep Inn and Suites – Page Arizona
I booked a jacuzzi suite just because I could. Well, that, and it was only $10 more than the regular room. I was traveling solo and while I love hotel hot tubs, I hate it when they’re over run with children, or I’m by myself and some weirdo in the hot tub wants to be my BFF, when all I want to do is relax.
The room was great – it was exceptionally large – I had a big sofa, a king bed, and, of course, a Jacuzzi. Room also had a microwave, refrigerator and a coffee maker. Plenty of towels were in my room at check in which was important because I had that Jacuzzi!

If you do get a room with a jacuzzi, it is AMAZING. Some in-room jacuzzis suck but this one felt like an actual hot tub. And I had the whole thing to myself. So amazing!
Some of the rooms have balconies. Personally, I wouldn’t bother paying extra for a balcony here because you’re not getting much of a view of anything. While it’s close to the Glen Canyon Dam, the way the hotel is built, no matter what side your room is on, you will get views of the highway and parking lot. Keep your money.

Amenities at the Sleep Inn Page Arizona
You’ve got your standard mid-range hotel amenities here:
Pool and hot tub: I didn’t use them but they looked nice

Breakfast: I ate breakfast each day I was here. Even though I’m not a fan of Choice Hotels overall, they give you a better breakfast than any Marriott of this price point (like a Fairfield Inn or a Residence Inn). The offerings are much better – sausage, bacon, eggs, waffle maker. It wasn’t the best breakfast ever but it was decent. The only negative was that the coffee just wasn’t that hot, even when it was just brought out in the thermoses – it was lukewarm. This happened every morning during my stay.

Gym: The gym was horrible. The treadmill is on its last legs and the elliptical was broken. I run between 50-65 miles a week, but for the most part, I hate hotel treadmills — they always feel like they’re going to break in half when I run on them, so I tend to avoid them and just use the elliptical. But didn’t have that choice here, as the elliptical was busted. I notified the front desk but chances are, that damn thing is never getting fixed. The piece-of-shit treadmill was so bad that I only used the gym one time during my three-night stay; I went hiking for my other workouts instead, which of course, was much more fun.
Laundry: This is where my praise for this hotel goes down the tubes. Yes, the gym was bad, but the laundry room! This was the most expensive hotel self-serve laundry I’ve ever encountered: $4 to wash / $4 to dry. Are you kidding me??? They are completely hosing tourists at this hotel — absolutely unreal.

Sleep Inn and Suites Page Arizona Final Thoughts
Overall, I enjoyed my stay here at the Sleep Inn in Page, Arizona. I thought the location was convenient – right off the main highway and easy to get in/out, and close to nearby tourist attractions like Horseshoe Bend and the Antelope Canyon tours.
Room was nice, quiet and I loved the Jacuzzi – I used it every night and it felt amazing after doing some hiking in the area!
The fitness center needs a lot of repairs and the laundry – well, that’s just a scam. Try not to do laundry here. That is all.
